Important tool limits

Display tests and pixel tools

A solid field can make some pixel faults, uneven lighting or image retention easier to notice. It cannot confirm the cause, warranty status or repairability of a display. Results change with brightness, viewing angle, browser color handling, room light and device settings.

Rapid color changes may be uncomfortable for people who are sensitive to flashing light. Stop immediately if you feel unwell. Do not use a flashing tool when someone nearby could be affected.

Light, sound and timing tools

A monitor is not a calibrated photography light, medical light, emergency lamp or eye treatment. Generated noise and ambient sound should be kept at a comfortable level. Timers and clocks depend on the device and should not be the only timing source for legal, scientific, medical or safety critical work.

Simulations and pranks

Fake update, crash, meeting, hacker and broken screen pages do not perform the event they show. Use them only for harmless demonstrations, mockups or jokes where people and property remain safe. Do not use them for fraud, impersonation, intimidation or interference with another person's work.

Camera, downloads and external links

A camera preview depends on browser permission and device support. Generated PNG or QR files should be checked before they are used publicly. Links to third party documentation are provided for context; Black Screen does not control those sites or guarantee that they remain available.

Ask the right professional

For a suspected hardware fault, follow the manufacturer or a qualified repair provider. For health, accessibility, legal or safety questions, use guidance from a suitable qualified professional.
