Terms of Use

These terms apply when you visit black-screen.dev or use its browser tools. By using the site, you agree to follow them.

Last updated: 5 October 2026

Permitted use

You may use the tools for personal, educational, creative and ordinary business purposes. You are responsible for how you use a screen, generated image, sound or simulation and for following the rules that apply where you live.

Responsible use of simulations

Fake update, meeting, crash, hacker and broken screen tools are visual simulations. Do not use them to obtain a password, payment, private information or access to a device. Do not impersonate support staff, disrupt a workplace, cause panic or mislead someone in a harmful way.

Always provide an immediate way to exit a fullscreen simulation. Use the tools only with permission when another person's device, account or work is involved.

Content and intellectual property

The site's original layout, writing, code and graphics are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use images created by a color or QR tool for your own lawful purpose. You may not copy the site as a competing service, remove notices or claim the site's content as your own.

Names and marks belonging to Microsoft, Apple, Google, Canonical, Zoom, Slack and other owners remain their property. Their appearance in a labelled simulation does not mean that they sponsor or endorse Black Screen.

Availability and changes

Tools are provided without a promise that every browser, device or permission setting will support every feature. A tool, route or control may be changed, paused or removed to improve safety, accuracy or performance.

No warranty and limits

The site is provided as available. To the extent allowed by law, Black Screen does not promise that a visual check will diagnose hardware, repair pixels, protect data or produce a result suitable for a safety critical task. The Disclaimer explains important tool limits.

To the extent allowed by law, Black Screen is not responsible for indirect loss caused by relying on a simulation, display result, external link or unsupported browser feature. Nothing in these terms removes a right that cannot legally be excluded.

Contact and changes to these terms

Questions can be sent to contact@black-screen.dev. Material changes will be published on this page with a new updated date. Continued use after a change means the new terms apply to later use.
