Open and adjust a Blue Screen
Use pure blue for exact channel work and a controlled preset for visual use.
Select the purpose
Choose Pure Blue for testing or a softer preset for a backdrop and ambient light.
Check subject colors
For chroma key, confirm that clothing, products and important details do not contain a similar blue.
Control reflections
Move the subject forward or lower output if blue light appears around edges.
Test and export
Record a sample before keying, or download the chosen value as a clean background.
When blue works better than green
Blue can be useful when a subject contains green or when the scene already has a cooler palette. It usually provides less brightness from a display than maximum green, so camera exposure may need adjustment.
A monitor suits close shots and small subjects. A physical blue screen provides more space and more freedom to position the camera and lights.
Inspect the blue channel
Pure blue isolates the blue primary at the input level. Look for points that stay dark or show a different color, then confirm the same location on other fields.
Use red, green, white and black before deciding whether a pixel is defective. This page performs visual inspection and does not run hardware diagnostics.
Blue screen controls
Move from an exact test value to a practical visual tone without losing the previous choice.
Blue presets
Choose pure blue or prepared deeper and softer tones.
Color picker
Enter an exact code, pick visually or sample a screen color where the browser supports it.
Comparison
Use A/B to keep both the old and new blue visible while choosing.
Fullscreen and PNG
Display the field without page controls or save the current color as a blue screen background image.
Important: A browser field does not ensure calibrated chroma key color. Camera exposure, reflections and editing settings determine the final key.
