Exact maximum RGB green
Pure Green Screen
Display #00FF00, the brightest green available in the standard RGB model, across the whole screen. Use it when an exact pure green value matters more than a practical chroma key tone.

Display a Pure Green Screen accurately
The field is intentionally intense, so choose it for value accuracy rather than comfort.
Confirm the value
Keep Pure Green selected to preserve #00FF00 without another color mixed into the base value.
Enter fullscreen
Press F or click the preview when checking the whole panel for green channel response.
Inspect briefly
Scan from your normal position, then exit if the brightness becomes uncomfortable.
Compare or save
Open the regular Green Screen for keying options, or download the exact pure green PNG.
Pure green and chroma green are not the same choice
Pure green sets the green channel to 255 while red and blue remain zero. Chroma key work does not require this maximum value, and a less intense green can reduce reflections and overexposure.
Choose this page for channel testing, digital color examples or a file that must contain #00FF00. Choose the regular Green Screen for practical keying presets.
Read a pixel check carefully
A point that stays dark on pure green may indicate a green subpixel that is not responding, but the field alone cannot confirm the cause. Dust, scaling and panel structure can look similar at normal distance.
Repeat the check on red, blue, white and black. If a suspected defect matters for service or warranty, follow the display maker's test process.
Pure green tool controls
You can preserve the exact value or deliberately reduce it for comparison.
Shade
Creates darker green output by scaling the #00FF00 starting channels.
Color values
Shows the current HEX, RGB and HSL and copies a value when selected.
A/B view
Compares the last color with the current green across two equal fields.
PNG download
Saves the displayed green in a chosen standard or device size.
Important: Maximum green can feel very bright on some screens. Reduce hardware brightness or leave fullscreen if it is uncomfortable.
Pure Green Screen questions
What is the pure green code?
Pure green is #00FF00, which equals RGB 0, 255, 0.
Is pure green always best for chroma key?
No. A less intense, evenly exposed green often produces cleaner practical results.
Does Shade keep the value at #00FF00?
No. Shade deliberately lowers the channel value. Return to 100 percent for exact pure green.
