Set up the Fake Video Call screen
Keep the scene simple enough that viewers can understand it immediately.
Choose the group size
Set two to twelve tiles according to the call you need to represent.
Edit the names
Replace sample participants with fictional or authorized display names.
Set the call state
Toggle camera, mute, sharing or the preferred view for the scene.
Present or record
Enter fullscreen, then use the leave and rejoin controls to end the staged call.
Why use an unbranded call layout
A generic interface communicates a video meeting without tying the scene to a real account, employer or platform. It is useful in wireframes, classroom examples, videos and prototypes where the idea of a call matters more than a specific product.
The interface is interactive enough to show common states, but it does not create a room, send an invitation or connect another device.
Camera and privacy behavior
If you start the camera, the browser displays the feed in your tile locally. The tool does not record it, and the simulated microphone control does not transmit audio.
Use Fake Zoom Meeting when a familiar platform style is part of the scene. Use Black Screen as a plain screen or backdrop outside the call.
Video call simulator controls
The options cover the visible states viewers expect in a call without pretending to provide communication.
People and names
Changes the gallery from two to twelve participants and edits each visible label.
Local camera
Requests permission only when started and mirrors the preview in your own tile.
Mute and share
Updates the on screen microphone state or displays a local sharing preview.
View, fullscreen and leave
Changes the tile layout, expands the scene and moves between active, ended and rejoin states.
Important: Do not use a simulated call to impersonate someone or create false evidence. The screen should remain a clearly understood mockup or entertainment tool.
