Set up the Flip Clock Screensaver
Confirm the device time first because the page displays it rather than contacting a separate time service.
Choose the format
Switch between 24 hour time and a 12 hour display with AM or PM.
Show or hide seconds
Keep seconds for precise timing or remove them for a calmer clock face.
Adjust the style
Choose the background, gradient, digit color, accent and shadow.
Use fullscreen
Press F or select Fullscreen. Enable Keep awake if the clock should remain visible on a supported browser.
Where the displayed time comes from
The clock reads the date and time from the device running the browser. It updates locally and does not need an account, location permission or time zone lookup.
If the displayed time is wrong, correct the device clock, time zone or daylight saving setting. Reloading this page cannot repair an incorrect system time.
Use a clock that fits the room
Large digits and optional seconds make the page useful on a desk, reception display, studio monitor, classroom or event screen. Remove seconds when the constant movement is distracting.
For a screen that should go completely dark, use Black Screen. For a timed session rather than current time, open the Countdown Screen.
Flip clock options
Time behavior and appearance can be changed independently.
12 or 24 hour
Changes the hour display and adds AM or PM only in 12 hour mode.
Seconds
Shows or hides the final digit pair and its separator.
Background style
Use two colors for a gradient or turn it off for a solid background.
Shadow
Controls the glow around the digits from none to a stronger soft edge.
Important: The clock is only as accurate as the device time. Do not use a browser display as the sole timing source for safety critical, legal or scientific work.
Flip Clock Screensaver questions
Does the clock use my local time?
It uses the current date and time reported by the device and browser.
Can I hide seconds?
Yes. The Seconds control removes the seconds pair and the extra colon.
Will Keep awake always work?
No. Supported browsers can grant the request, but power settings or an inactive tab may release it.
