Create a Golden Screen for a warm glow
Gold on a display is a color, not a metallic surface, so plan around light and reflection rather than texture.
Choose the tone
Start with #FFD700, then try a warmer or dimmer preset when the color overwhelms the subject.
Position the screen
For glow, place it near the object but outside the frame. For a backdrop, keep the subject small enough to cover the screen edge.

Use A/B to judge a yellow gold beside an orange gold under the same room lighting.

Digital gold does not have a metallic shine
A flat screen displays colored light. Metallic gold depends on surface texture, reflections and highlights, so #FFD700 cannot reproduce that material by itself.
You can still use the field as a clean base for text, a festive background or warm fill on a small object. Add texture and highlights later when a metallic appearance is required.
Keep the color relevant to the task
For a product photo, watch how the display reflects in polished surfaces. Lower the shade or change the angle if the screen shape becomes visible.
For display testing, use gold only as a mixed color reference. Return to black and the primary color fields for clearer pixel and uniformity checks.
