Start and read the Fullscreen Stopwatch
Start the total clock first, then record laps at the points you want to compare.
Choose the appearance
Set a readable background, text and accent before timing begins.
Start the clock
Select Start to measure from zero or continue after a pause.
Record a lap
Select Lap while running. Each row separates the lap duration from the overall elapsed time.
Pause or reset
Pause preserves elapsed time. Reset clears both the clock and all recorded laps.
How lap values should be read
Each lap row labels the lap number, then leaves clear spacing before its time. The lap duration measures the interval since the previous lap, while the main display continues to show total elapsed time.
New records appear at the top so the latest split is easy to find. Reset removes the entire list, which is useful before a new activity.
Suitable uses and timing limits
The page works well for informal workouts, practice sessions, presentations, games and personal tasks. It runs from the browser performance clock and updates the visible digits frequently.
It is not certified timing equipment. Sleep, tab throttling or device load can affect presentation. Use the Countdown Timer for a fixed remaining duration, or Black Screen to clear the display afterward.
Stopwatch controls
Timing actions and visual settings remain separate.
Start and pause
Begin, freeze and continue the same elapsed session.
Lap
Records an interval and adds it to the ordered lap list.
Reset
Returns the display to 00:00.00 and removes every lap. The bottom Reset also restores the default appearance.
Appearance
Sets background, gradient, text, accent and shadow without changing elapsed time.
Important: Use dedicated certified equipment where official results, safety or legal timing matters.
Fullscreen Stopwatch questions
Why are there two time meanings?
The main display is total elapsed time. Each lap is the interval since the previous lap.
Does Pause erase laps?
No. Pause keeps the current total and lap list. Reset clears them.
Can I change colors while it runs?
Yes. Appearance controls do not reset the active stopwatch.
