Start the Rain Screen with optional ambience
Set the picture first, then add sound at a low level if it suits the room.
Start the video
Use Play when the preview is paused by the browser or by your previous setting.
Choose motion speed
Keep 1x for natural playback or select a slower or faster mood.
Balance the picture
Lower brightness for evening use and add vignette to darken the edges.
Add rain audio
Enable the optional sound, set a gentle volume and open fullscreen.
Video and sound are controlled separately
Pausing the visual does not force the audio setting, and the ambience does not start until you choose it. That separation lets you use the scene silently in an office or play sound without pushing the video brightness too high.
The audio is a generated ambience rather than a recording of the visible cabin. It is intended as background sound and is not synchronized to individual drops in the footage.
Use the scene as a display background
A lower brightness and stronger vignette can make the image less distracting on a second monitor. At 1x speed the footage keeps its intended pace, while 0.75x gives a slower visual rhythm.
For a silent dark field with no moving image, use Black Screen. The Night Sky Screen is another silent video option.
Rain Screen controls
Visual and audio settings update without leaving the scene.
Play or pause
Stops or resumes the looping rain video.
Video speed
Changes playback to 0.75x, 1x or 1.25x.
Brightness and vignette
Brightness ranges from 45 to 120 percent and vignette from 0 to 70 percent.
Rain sound and volume
Starts or stops the generated ambience and sets its loudness from 0 to 100.
Important: Continuous video and audio can use more battery than a static page. Keep sound at a comfortable level.
Rain Screen questions
Does the rain sound play automatically?
No. You must start it with the audio control because browsers restrict automatic sound.
Can I use the rain video without sound?
Yes. The visual and audio have separate controls.
Will the video fill the screen?
Fullscreen expands the stage, while the video uses a cover layout that may crop its edges to fit the display.
